Low Point Weight Watchers Muffins

Do you love to have a sweet, warm muffin with coffee as a yummy breakfast or sweet afternoon treat? This low calorie muffin recipe is just what you’re looking for.

Making muffins with a cake mix is a WW classic trick because it comes together in minutes and the points are reasonable.

I like to make a batch of these muffins on the weekends and freeze them individually to have on hand all through the week. (Freezing them also helps me not be tempted to overeat them. As someone who is maintaining a 100 pound weight loss, I know it’s important to keep treats available but out of sight.)

These muffins are so delicious that your family will enjoy them too, never guessing they are eating a lighter recipe.

Ingredients for WW Pumpkin Muffins with Cake Mix

This recipe couldn’t be more simple. Here are the ingredients:

  • 1 box Spice Cake mix
  • 1 can (14 ounce) pumpkin. Be sure to buy plain pumpkin, not pumpkin pie mix which has added sugar.
  • 1 cup water

Whether you call these a 2-ingredient muffin or a 3-ingredient muffin, the result is the same – a tender, delicious muffin you will love.

WW Muffins with Sugar-Free Cake Mix

Can you make these ww pumpkin muffins with a sugar-free cake mix? Yes, you can easily adjust this recipe by using a sugar-free cake mix which does lower the points slightly.

With a sugar-free mix, each muffin is 3 points (use link below in recipe box to find your points) and 2 points on WW Blue, Green, and Purple.

Since you probably won’t be able to find a spice version of a sugar-free cake mix, use a SF vanilla cake mix and add 1 tsp cinnamon and 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice.
